Dr Mark has won the prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers -- the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology. Widely travelled and read, Dr Mark is keen to learn about different cultures and people. He loves sports including squash and badminton and annually takes part in the Great North Run to raise money for cancer research.
